off to saskatchebush

Left for Saskatchebush Wednesday June 29th at 3pm. We were delayed 3 1/2 hours by a mudslide about 30 kms west of Hope. Had to detour across the Fraser River via Highway 7. This is the Fraser River as we're sitting in bumper to bumper traffic.

Blurry picture, but shows some of the westbound traffic tie up on the east side of Hope.

Finally arrived at Laurel's Mom and Dad's in Creston at 3:45 am Thursday morning - almost a 13 hour trip. Spent Thursday with Henry and Shirley and then headed out again to Saskatchebush about 8:30 am Friday July 1st. Shirley put on her Canada T-shirt to celebrate Canada's 144th birthday.

Stopped at Tim Horton's in Fernie but being July 1st, everyone had the same idea.

Here's the Timmy's line up as proof. I like the mountains in the background. Fernie is sure a lot nicer place than it was in the 60's when I used to go there on school sports trips

Mountains at Fernie. I decided to take pictures of mountains.

Fernie.

At Fernie.

Tried to get a big picture of the telephone pole and a mountain got in the way.

Might be in Alberta, can't remember.
