stairway to a heart attack

This is Fred Gingell Park in Tsawwassen. From the park you can take stairs and trail down to Tsawwassen Beach. Laurel and I decided to tackle it on Saturday afternoon because we were missing the hills of Creston. It was my first time. A lot of people use the trail for exercise and at certain times of the day there are fifteen to twenty people going up and down . It's a very good workout. The elevation gain or loss is 50 metres.

Ready to go.

On the way down.

The descent is hard on the knees.

The trail ends on Tsawwassen Beach. That's the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and Roberts Bank coal port in the background.

On the way back up.

And up.

And up....

And up.....

And up (gasp).......

puff, puff....

Rest stop before the summit.

Ready to tackle the stairs to the top.

Let's go.

And go.....

Almost at the top!

Back on top. Now do it four more times and see how you feel. People carry pebbles with them and put one on the top railing each time they get to the top to keep track of how many times they've made it.

Just back from Minerva's. The reunion started at the restaurant. Laurel is waiting for Gordo. Gordo is out getting scintillating photos for his award winning blog.

41st Street outside Mom & Dad's hangout. Who says the city is full of cars? Would you dare stand out in the middle of 32?

Gordon and Gordon reliving old times. Gordon V. lives in Langley and he is Dad's cousin, one of only two.
